The top price for a Simmental bull at the Carlisle May Sale was 10,000gns for Overhill House McCoy. This record-setting bull led a terrific Simmental bull sale at Harrison & Hetherington’s Borderway Mart on Saturday, May 13th. The sale saw a 100% clearance rate with all 12 bulls sold, achieving a centre record average of £6519. Eight bulls made 6000gns and more, with top price bulls selling to Orkney, Aberdeen, Northumberland, Hawick, Derbyshire, and Newton Stewart. Additionally, Midhope led the pedigree females at 3800gns, Auchorachan topped the Simmental High Health bulling heifer sale at £3800, and the Chestermann Reduction Sale topped at 3300gns.
