The date change follows positive discussions with both Harrison & Hetherington, and the British Limousin Cattle Society, and with the view that the joined up day will be to the benefit of both sales.

Holding them on the same day will be a fantastic spectacle and I’m sure will be greatly anticipated. It’s a progressive thing to do and we look forward to working with both H&H, and British Limousin, to really make this day a success for all involved.”

From a Simmental perspective, the fixture will again be for all classes of pedigree Simmental Females, and with a section for pedigree Simmental Weaned Calves born in the 2025 year. Following the successful introduction last year, there will also be a section of Simmental X High Health Heifers.
In further comments John Barlow encouraged Simmental breeders to take early aim at entering quality Simmental females and calves at this joint sale day fixture, and said: “From the outset the Next Generation Simmental Sale has set its stall out to attract pedigree Simmental cattle full of style, quality, and with a depth of bloodlines. This year is the fifth staging and the sale is establishing itself as the premier Simmental female sale with quality animals meeting a ready demand. This new platform will take the sale a further step forward and we really look forward to breeders supporting it with a top Simmental entry.”
So an important date change, and one very much for your diaries.
