Simmental steaks secured both champion and reserve awards at the ASDA Highland Show steak competition, highlighting the breed's quality. The champion steak was from a Simmental x bull owned by William and Billy Nelson of West Brackley, Kinross, with the reserve going to Andrew Braes of West Bradieston, ST Cyrus. Both award-winning bulls graded U-3, and their steaks were judged by celebrity Chef Ainsley Harriot.
