Judging the Stirling Multi-breed pre-sale show was Mr James Wightman of the Coxhill herd.

Topping the male trade on the day at 8,500gns was the Reserve Overall Champion, JAW INSTAGRAM 17, bred by John Maxwell, Jaw Farm, Fintry, Glasgow, G63 0XG. A WOODHALL FERRARI 14 son, out of a TILLYMAUD KATHY 27TH daughter, he was purchased by CMR Soutar, Arbroath, Angus. (Peasiehill)

Second top price, selling for 6,000 gns was FINLARG IVAN 17, bred by Kate and Alan McNee, Over Finlarg Farm, Tealing, DUNDEE. DD4 0QE. A TEAM DRAMBUIE 12 son, out of a TEAM CLOVER 5 daughter, he was purchased by Islay Estates, Isle of Islay.

Three bulls secured 5,200gns. Up first was DRUMSLEED INVERAWE 17, bred by Mr GW Smith, Drumsleed, Fordoun, Laurencekirk, Kincardineshire, AB30 1SL. A HAYSTAR CRACKER 11 son out of a HOCKENHULL GIRLIE 13TH daughter, he was purchased by John Drummond, Craigie, Kilmarnock. (Townend)

The third bull to go under the hammer at this price was CORSKIE INFLUENCE 17, bred by Mr WJ & J Green, Corskie, Garmouth, Fochabers, Moray IV32 7NN. A DIRNANEAN BRADLEY 10 son out of a CORSKIE BLUME daughter, he was sold to J Duff and Son, Brechin, Angus.

Next at 5,000 gns was CRUDIE INVICTUS 17, bred by Mr H Brunton, Crudie Farm, Arbroath, Angus DD11 2NR. A DRUMLONE FABULOUS 14 son out of a DELFUR WEIGELA V44 daughter, he was purchased by JA Baxter, Gardenstown, Banff.

Two bulls sold to 4,800 gns – first was CORSKIE INSECT 17, bred by Mr WJ & J Green, Corskie, Garmouth, Fochabers, Moray IV32 7NN. A DIRNANEAN BRADLEY 10 son out of a CORSKIE BLARNEY 2161 daughter, he sold to W & W Dawson and Sons, Huntly, Aberdeenshire. (Whinbrae)

The second to sell at this price was ISLAVALE IZARD 17. Bred by Mr W S Stronach, Berryleys Farm, Grange, Keith, Banffshire, AB55 6LN, he is an ATLOW DIXON 12 EX91 son out of an ISLAVALE BLOOM EX93 daughter, and is on his way to A Sharp & Sons, Alford, Aberdeenshire.

There were two bulls selling to 4,500 gns. First was KEELDRUM ILLUSIVE 17, bred by Mr D Lowry, Newsteadings Farm, Cartland, Lanark. ML11 7RB. A COOSE EMPEROR son out of a BAKKELY PRISCILLA daughter, he was purchased by Gillian Bignal, Bridgend, Isle of Islay.
Next at the same price was the pre-sale champion, DUNMORE ICEMAN 17, bred by J & E Aitken, Overton Farm, Fintry, Glasgow. G63 0YH. A KILBRIDE FARM COMBER 11 son out of a CRACKLEY CADETTE 77N daughter, he was sold to A Biffen, Ellon, Aberdeenshire.

Bulls met an 83% clearance, with 29 bulls selling to average £4439 (+186).
