YOUNG SIMMENTAL BULLS TOPPING CARLISLE COMMERCIAL TRADE
Great to see young Simmental bulls from JT Skelton, Waterloo Farm, Cockermouth, leading the trade at Harrison & Hetherington’s sale of young bulls and weaned cattle at Borderway Mart, Carlisle yesterday, 15th June. A day’s top price of £1280 was achieved and with Simmentals leading the averages for bulls at £1206.67. The top averages reflect a solid and growing demand for young Simmental bulls at Carlisle.
This sale follows the recent beef breeding sale at Carlisle that saw Messrs Barclay, South Road lead the cow and calf trade with a Simmental cross cow and calf making £4000.
