Over the last three Stirling Simmental Sales, Mr Muir has bought twelve Simmentals in all for clients in Orkney and the North of Scotland.
Prolific vendors at Stirling this is the second time the Lancashire based Denizes herd has topped the Simmental bull trade at Stirling. Commenting after the sale, Michael Barlow said: We try to breed and bring bulls with length, width, good tops, that are structurally correct and carry a bit of style. The cow families in the herd have a lot of milk and we’re looking for that continual improvement in maternal (milk) figures and calving figures to meet the demands of both the pedigree breeders and commercial producers.” This year the Denizes herd will be calving 60 plus pedigree Simmental cows.
