CZECH IT OUT’, NEWBIEMAINS PRAGUE WINS CLASS THREE OF THE 2024 BRITISH SIMMENTAL VIRTUAL SHOW
It’s ‘Big Reveal’ time once again in the 2024 Simmental Virtual Show, and today we are publishing the results for Class Three – Heifer Calf born on or after 1st August 2023. We are now half way through this year’s classes and the support for the Virtual Show continues to grow. We’ve had a fantastic 237 entries for the first three classes from herds across the UK, and which is up by 20 on last year. Thank you to everyone who has entered and for again putting on such a demonstration of the quality within the modern Simmental breed.

Ripping it up this year, with a second class win in a row, is Jim & Patricia Goldie, Newbie Mains Farm, Dumfriesshire who’ve won Class Three – Bull born on or between 01/01/2022 & 31/07/2023 with their February 2023 born Newbiemains Prague . Newbiemains Prague 23 is by Annick Klondyke 19 EX 94, and is out of Newbiemains Ice Nice Wag VG88. This young bull carries a Maternal (Milk) figure of +13 putting him in the breed’s top 1% for this trait. Well done to Team Goldie on a win double, and well done to all of the placed animals, and to all exhibitors with another terrific entry of 76 bulls.
Judging this class was Simon Key, who runs the noted Key herd at Abbey Farm, Loddon, Norwich. Here are his placings for first to tenth:
1st Newbiemains Prague
2nd Kilbride Farm President 23 (P)
3rd Kilbride Farm Pearce 23 (P)
