AUCHORACHAN MALT IS SINGLED OUT AS THE WINNER OF CLASS THREE OF THE 2022 BRITISH SIMMENTAL VIRTUAL SHOW

by | Aug 2, 2022

We are delighted to announce the results for class three of the British Simmental 2022 Virtual show – Bull, born on or between 01/01/2020 – 31/07/2021.

Congratulations to D & R Durno & Sons, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, whose March 2021-born bull Auchorachan Malt 21 was awarded first place. From homebred breeding on both sides, he is sired by the noted Auchorachan Hercules 16, whose sons averaged £10,500 in 2021 and up to a top of 18,000gns. Hercules has bred almost 60 progeny into the herd and a further 40 AI calves so far, while his Dam is Auchorachan Hilly, who goes back to the 9,000gns Team Fergus 14.

We had a great entry of 28 bulls and the top five places have been awarded by the Judge, Richard Cumming of Cwarre Simmentals, as follows:
1st – Auchorachan Malt 21
2nd – Rockytop Macduff
3rd – Auchorachan Magic
4th – Kilbride Farm Majestic 21
5th – Kilbride Farm Merlin 21

We would like to say a big thank you to our judge Richard Cumming and everyone who entered, we have been thrilled with the quality of the entries.
